Musion Eyeliner uses a specially developed foil that reflects images from high definition video projectors, making it possible to produce virtual images of variable sizes and incredible clarity, using industry standard software. Infinitely configurable, the virtual hologram appears within a stage set, with the projection means invisible to the audience:-

Musion Eyeliner is a high definition holographic video projection screen allowing spectacular 3-dimensional moving images to appear within a live stage setting using Peppers Ghost technology. Eyeliner brings dramatic, previously unseen 21st century video film effects to live events, including audiovisual artistic performances, conference or trade show presentations, retail displays and large-scale digital signage.

Musion Eyeliner has already been used in a variety of applications including life-size holograms of Madonna (Grammy Awards), Gorillaz (MTV Awards), and Sir Richard Branson (Virgin Digital Launch), technical demonstrations such as the GEnx Aircraft Engine (Farnborough Air Show) and car showcasing as seen at the Ford Mondeo launch (Geneva Motor Show)

- Today's class was a visit down Musion academy, a company who is famously known for creating and producing optical illusion images for television and media companies. Firstly i've never heard of the company before and secondly i didn't know what to expect. Originally our first visit was suppose to be at a animation art gallery down great castle St, west end. But however they have close down or have re-located sumwhere else and also didn't decide to update their website either!!
So because of all this confusion, it resulted us getting to musion really late. Where the company was located was very posh, the higher class areas in london, i call them. Walking in & up the stairs was liking entering someones home, but very small and cosy as a working environment. I personally have never witnessed optical illusion or see the process of coming to life, but today was amazing, it was very interesting and enjoyable to see the work that they have achieved in the past.
We also got the opportunity to step on stage to interact with animated characters and understand the meaning behind of how it all comes to life.
It was a big shame that the tour was very rushed due to our lateness, i felt i could of seen and appreciate it more if there was time to spare, but overall i would consider taking on some work for musion, gaining experience and learning new things is always a plus side for me, but nice to see ravens. giving us these opportunities to meet clients in our line of work, as a step up to our future career.
