I came in today just to clear the brief up with Jared, to see if he would approve of the ideas i had in mind. The changes i'm making aren't too dramatic, just a slight change. So instead of the National Gallery, it's going to be the Natural History Museum. I realise that the existing brief ask for a very short animation sequence, something from a 5-6 second. So i'm going to try and extend it to a 10 second or 15 second, depending how much practical time i have left.
The final outcome will mostly expose the 2D aspect, but after my chat with Jared and my sudden outburst of random questioning, i ask whether "character Animation" counts as animating drawn characters concepts, which is related to the theme such as a 'moving image' scenario.. The answer was "not really" but nonetheless it can be done, just as long as u make it look "amazing" with alot of expression, personality, impact...something that's fantastic.
